Welcoming in 2012

Hello all,
Y&R here.  Welcome to 2012....well at least for all of us here on this blog. :)  Trying to keep up with this busy life and this blog can be challenging at times.  But here is Hana with the updates :)
Hey y'all, Hana here.  What a busy last few months.  Life has taken a whirlwind since Jan. 1st of 2012.  Lots of students to teach, which I feel very blessed about.  A husband to look after, since we all know he needs a little help j/k ;), and an ornery dog to put back in her place.  I have had the opportunity to play gigs at a couple different places already this year, which has been great.  One place is already begging us to pick dates for April, May, and even June.  That is so exciting!  February came in a rush, and it was already time for my bestie Audrey to come into town, Valentine's day, and a big reflective period on my behalf.

So first off, I got a little bit of home Nashville in my life a couple weekends ago.  Audrey came to town!!!  This is the first time she has been here since July.  Crazy I KNOW!  We had a lot of good times, had lots of great talks, and mostly enjoyed doing things together.  It's hard to leave your friends behind....especially now that we all have our own lives.  I miss all you guys, Audrey, Terra, Megan, Nicki, Lauren, Lindsey, Jessie, Jess, Jeff,  Justin, Amy, and so many many more.

Valentine's Day, was great!  For Wes, I made him a scavenger hunt of some of his favorite things.  And when I got home from work waiting for me were beautiful roses, a card, and inside the card was a certificate for a couple's massage. :)  Super exciting!  And since I had to work on Valentine's Day, we went and had a nice dinner at Bass Pro....I LOVE the aquarium in the restaurant...so we got to sit next to it and look at the fishes. :)  We also walked around and saw the ducks too!!!  Sounds a little cheesy; however, it was perfect to me :)

So big reflective period, all about figuring out what God's plan is for my life.  At church on Sunday, the lady speaking had a lot of great things to say.  The big message was "Listen".  Which she said was very hard for her to do.  The lady, being a micro-biologist, is more of a visual learner.  More so than anything she has formulas to solve her problems.  Well in the great scheme of God's plan....he wants us to "Listen" to that still, small voice, and most of the time there is no "Formula" to follow to get to the solution.  I am also a visual learner.  It's hard for me to understand "Listen" if I can't see what I am listening to.  I am a great listener for friends, or family; however, I can see them when they are talking to me.  So here I am, praying that I will understand where God's plan is taking me, and Granny reads me this article about "Un-answered Prayers".  And in the article the woman was plainly saying that sometimes God's answer to your prayer is IN the un-answered part of life.  She said that there has been so many times where she has prayed for some sort of answer and never received one, and she looks back now and realized that if she would have gotten the answer to her prayer, she might have been put in harms way, or she wouldn't have gone as far with the "quick" answer.  So with a lot of praying and learning, I am just taking life one day at a time, because that is all I need.  God will provide and take care of me.  And I know now, that my "Listening" might not always have answers, sometimes the answer is in the Silence.
So until next time, Silence is not a scary thing, embrace it; however, if you don't like it...you can always turn the radio on :)

Tis the Season!

Happy Holidays Y'all!  Hope everyone is having a great start to the holiday season.  I know we are :)  Wes and I, and especially Lady are having a great time setting up Christmas decorations and getting into the holiday spirit.  We got the lights out on the house...which is very exciting for us.  Wes did a great job as usual :)  We also set up the Christmas tree (which is bigger than the last year's tree) and all the house decorations including the banister, fireplace, kitchen, and the bathrooms.  Whew that took a good amount of time.  Moving furniture to put up the tree, making sure we had all the boxes down with all the ornaments and decorations, and let us not forget making the home feel cozy and Christmas-like.  Putting candles up, and making sure that the home is filled with good smelling cooking.  Yes that is right...I said cooking :)  Well now it is all finally up, and what a relief it is.  It is nice to just come home and ENJOY the decorations instead of worrying that it wasn't all put up.  So I hope that you all enjoy your holiday season as much as we are so far.  Here is a few pics.
Lady hanging out by the fire!
Our beautiful Christmas Tree!
I couldn't resist buying these at the store to put on Lady...cute and funny at the same time :)  I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Stocking were hung by the chimney with care :)

Hello all

Hello everyone and welcome back to the readings of the Young and the Restless, aka me.  Well as you well know it's November...sorry that it's taken me awhile to write again.  I swear time just flies by and I don't know where it went.  But I guess that is better than just waiting for the time to go by.

So let's get down to it...I've been working really hard these past few months.  God has truly blessed me with an amazing place to work, wonderful co-workers, and a full schedule of students.  It's great to know that all of my hard work and dedication to my craft is helping others.  I love where I work!  Songwriting is going great.  I am constantly writing, and sending my songs off to different people to listen to and critique, and sometimes those critiques are helpful in so many ways.  So here's hoping that they find themselves in the right hands.  All of my gigs are going well also.  I'm getting several opportunities to play around town, which is wonderful...especially when I love to perform.

Married life is Wonderful!  It's the best thing in the world.  Wes and I have really grown on this journey and it's only been almost 4 months.  Which that is crazy to believe that we have been married for almost 4 months already.  To think what we will know in 10 years from now.  It's so crazy how time flies...Andrew and Shawna just celebrated their 7 year anniversary, and now have a baby on the way, mom and dad are at 30 years of marriage or very close, and both grandparents are celebrating 52 years of marriage this year.  Wow!  That is really an inspiration to Wes and I, that love reaches through time.  Thank you to everyone we know that has shown us what marriage and love is all about.  Picture from our wedding photo shoot...with all the instruments.

Lady....well what can I say...she is a hand full but we love her. :)  As she rests by my leg, while I type, she is so calm and sweet.  She can still be a little ornery but hey...she's still a puppy.  She has become almost a champ when it comes to commands and being calm; however, she still has her moments where she freaks out.  She loves to play with the neighbor dog, Bentley.  So Lady's new thing is that if her and Bentley are outside on their leashes at the same time, she comes running to the door, bangs on it with her front paws, and just waits until Wes or I come to the door....because she wants off her leash to go play with Bentley.  As if to say, "Um excuse me, Mom/ Dad, I want to play with Bentley...can I play with Bentley, can I play, can I play please?????"  So that is rather amusing hahah!  Here is Lady with her thug hat on :)

Well until next time, enjoy the times with your loved ones....cherish every moment.

Whew...time to update!

Hello everyone...I figured it was time for a blog update.  So I told Hana to get on it...so here she is. :)

Hana here...hey everyone! Since July, let's see what has happened...well first off again the wedding was so wonderful!  Ummm...the honeymoon was AMAZING!  We went to Grand Cayman for about a week.  It was the most beautiful place that I have ever been in my life.  Water so crystal clear that you could see right to the bottom.  It almost looked like you were taking a bath in the ocean.  Wes and I had a blast.  We lounged on the beach a ton, took romantic walks on the beach at sunset, went on a sunset dinner cruise, swam with stingrays, snorkeled a ton, and enjoyed each others company while sipping on a beverage of our choice. :)

Work has been going well for both Wes and I.  Loving what we do, which is always nice to say.  It's really nice to work for a company that is excited for you and takes an interest in your ideas.  I love my job!
Let's see honeymoon(check), work(check), Lady....
Well Lady has been a character here lately.  Loving to be ornery and dig in the yard...but thankfully she hasn't dug up any of my plants though...which is good.  Cause I spent lots of quality time putting in new shrubs....hahahaha. :)  But really she is being a good dog...hasn't been doing anything too terribly bad...which is nice.  Here is a cute picture of her :) Her and her huge tongue hahaha :)
Fall is soon approaching and let me just say that I am super excited for it.  I love fall boots, long sleeved shirts, leggings with skirts, and most importantly hats and cute jackets :)  Well that's all the updates right now.  Until next time...Don't be afraid to take a leap of faith...you never know where it will lead. :)

It's official :)

Hello all...greetings from Y&R here. It's been a whirl wind of events happening around here. I'm gonna give this over to Hana to chat to yall about it.

Hana here...what's happening everyone? So first and MOST important...It's offcial Wes and I are married :) It was a fabulous day. The setting was a beautiful outdoor garden area in my Uncle Joel's back yard. The sun was starting to set and the glimmers of light were shinning through the trees...the grandparents and parents walk in, bridal party follows behind them, and Wes waits for me over the bridge. Dad and I open the door, start decending down the stairs, and then everyone stands and looks....here I am :) As I look over the bridge to my future I begin to get even more anxious than I already was. Excitment filled my heart and mind and I was ready to start the journey. Audrey and Corn sang/played "You're all I need to get by"...and I listened as I tried to hold back the tears....they were absolutly AMAZING!!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect song that was sung. As the ceremony began...emotions started to rise...fighting back the tears of happiness....however I did break down during the vows....I couldn't help it. :) The ceremony went really well...Wes was very surprised that I wrote him a song that played while the unity SAND ceremony was going on. He loved it :) What can I say...that's what I do! After the ceremony we took personal pics...and let me just say that Monika did a FABULOUS job....her and Jason were amazing! Then we had delicious food and a "sand castle" Cake! Later on Wes and I danced...which was great cause he doesn't really like to dance a lot...but he did it for me :) We left after the dancing and stayed at a hotel for the night which was wonderful. All in all a Fantastic day and weekend.

Now back to real life...which hasn't been to bad adjusting back to. Lady is onery as ever...which I have heard that the 1 year dog days are like having a toddler running around the house...so if that is true Terra I feel your pain (only Lady doesn't talk or scream...but she does howl at random things hahaha). The living conditions have gotten better...I have finally gotten all the boxes out of our living room and put things in their correct places. YAY for me!!! :) I'm starting to feel more organized now :) Well nothing else is new...but I wanted to check in with yall. So until next time...Live each day to the fullest...you never know when it's gonna be your last. (especially today...Amy Winehouse died...)

Hey Hey!

Young and the Restless here.... Just thought that Hana needed another post during the week...don't you??? :) So here I am...your writer, here to tell the stories. So last time Hana got you caught up with her life and all the news that you may have missed. This time she has shared all the news with me...so I am here to relay it to you. Hana and Wes have had the opportunity to spend some good quality time together here in the past week. Which has been great! (or so she says)...:) Like she said in the past post...they have finished painting and now she is on to putting the house back in order. It takes awhile to get everything back in it's place...I do know from personal experience ;) hahaha Oh Hana just got here and would like to talk to you...

Greetings all...2 posts in less than a week...don't you feel lucky :) I do have to thank my creative writer...she keeps me on my toes ;) hahaha. So yes, like Ms. Y&R said...I am trying to get the house back in order since we have finally finished painting. Everything is pretty much back where it needs to go...only a few things left. It's nice to have it almost all put away and finished. The wedding is almost here...which I am absolutely ready for. I'm so excited to marry the sweetest, most wonderful man! Who is my very best friend in life :) Couldn't ask for more! We are anxiously waiting for the big day since everything is pretty much done for the wedding.

Lady is keeping us all on our toes..hahaha...I gave her a bath today which is slowly getting to be a better process. She does not really like baths very well; however, today she didn't mind so much. So maybe she is starting to like them now...who knows. I do know that she absolutely HATES having her nails trimmed. Wes and I have tried and tried to do them ourselves, and we have never made her bleed or anything...and she is terrified. So the past few times I've taken her to a place to get them done...talk about DRAMA QUEEN! The person does not even get anywhere near her and she is already howling like they are torturing her. It's really quite sad....I don't like listening to her do that(it makes me feel like a bad mom)---so I can't even imagine how I'll feel when I have a real kid. But that all comes in time...especially the kid part--whoa!

All in all, this past week has gone really well. We had a performance for my vocal kids on Saturday. Mom, Dad, and Wes came to support me. It was my first performance that I did alone, no other teachers, just me. Everything went pretty good...most of the kids were on their game, a few were terrified and nervous which affected their singing a little bit...but all in all...they did good.

Well that's enough for now...back to the creative writer on hand :) Thanks Hana....well until next time---Worry not about the things of tomorrow...live in the now.

Just thinking :)

So I'm sitting here and I realize that the stories from the Young and the Restless haven't really been updated in a while....so here I am...your writer. Previously on the Young and the Restless, we were recapping Hana's world. She has a very busy and complex life doesn't she?! :) But we find her now in the beautiful month of May- a little hot for my taste--but hey...I'm just the writer;). She has been settling in nicely after 1 full year here. Wow time sure flies when there is a lot of things that have been done. Let's recap the year....Hana can tell you a little more about it. Thanks Y&R.

Well I have moved, got an amazing job in my music field( which is so wonderful and I feel so blessed to have a career in my field), Wes and I got a puppy, we got engaged, and here I am one year later almost a married woman and never been happier. The wedding plans are pretty much all taken care of....which is so nice. All that remains is waiting for the actual day to be here...YAY!!!

Last weekend, I went and saw all my girls in Nashville. Bachelorette party!!!! HOLLA! We had a blast :) Audrey and Sarah threw me an absolutely amazing party! They really know how to have a good time ;) We had the party at Sarah's house...played lots of games(that made my face very red....and even one game that Wes answered questions to--and I had to guess the answers). We also went downtown, in which we participated in Karaoke, mechanical bull riding, crazy games that had us asking random people silly questions for points, and so many many more things. I cannot tell you how much fun I had!!!

Hummmm....Let's see... Wes is doing great. Working hard like normal, and making me happy as usual too :) We finally decided that we were going to paint our living room and such a couple weeks ago. And it is FINALLYYYYY DONE!!! Thank you Jesus :) We only had one thing left to do and that was the vaulted walls next to the stair case...and I am happy to say that we have that done too. A good friend of mine, Jason, came over and helped us finish it. He used to be a professional painter....So need less to say he did a fantastic job! :) Thanks Jason!

Lady is doing wonderful as well. She is 10 months old and still standing at 40lbs. A petite 40lbs :) Just when I think that she is starting to slow down and get out of her crazy puppy days...she decides to do something stupid like eat the foam stuff off the air conditioner pipe outside. I mean really...come on...then she feels sick and throws up. Isn't that lovely!??? I think NOT! Cause let's just say that Wes doesn't handle throw up very well...and who is left to clean it up...Me! Guess I know how real parenthood is going to be when that day come...hahaha. But she is a good dog though...she has her moments when I look down at her and she is calm, snuggling with me, and gazing at me with those cute puppy eyes...Those are the time I like :)

Work is great. I've started to gain some relationships with my coworkers which is nice. I like what I do. There has been some talk in my own head of going back to school to get a Master's degree. We will see if I have enough will power for that hahaha/ money hahaha :)

Well Hana sounds like everything is going your way. So until next time....this is your writer, the Young and the Restless, signing off....make sure you take time to smell the roses!

wow...sorry it's been so long...

Hey everyone! Greetings from the young and the restless :) Sorry it's taken me so long to write you all....but a lot of things have been going on in my world. First off...wedding plans. Whew!!!! Just those 2 words alone are crazy...hahaha...but things with that are going great. Got the location, minister, what to eat, tables, chairs, linens, and much more....but most importantly.... THE DRESS!!!! :) It's so pretty. I'm in love with it...hahaha. Got our engagement pictures done and so the process of doing the invitations is upon us. I believe we know how they are going to look and what is going to be said on them...now we just have to make them. Which will be a fun process. Well enough with that....ummm let's see. Totally forgot to blog about Valentine's Day. Which was amazing! I got the whole weekend with Wes...which is rare sometimes. But he didn't have to work and neither did I...so we spent the weekend with each other. No distractions and just spending good quality time with one another. We did go and LOOK at things to register for....which we now get the fun opportunity to use the register "gun" and "beep" things we want :) Which I am very excited for!!!!! So Monday was the day for Valentine's as most of you remember...I had to work:( but when I got home there were flowers and these really amazing pj pants that Wes got for me. I was totally beyond SHOCKED! He's so good! hahaha...so that was a fun surprise.

Work is really good. Getting more and more opportunities to do things...which means they are trusting me with more stuff to do. That is exciting :) I love what I do...and I love that I get to do something with music every day.

Lady is great! She is now...get ready for it...a whopping 40 pounds!!! WHOA! But small in stature so she doesn't really LOOK like 40lbs. She has discovered that she is strong enough to open closed doors if they are not really closed. Which that has been a challenge. She sure is like a kid...at least to me and Wes...hahaha. :) She is a good girl though. She got a clean bill of health from the vet the other day. I took her in for a nail trim and they looked her over to make sure she was good...and she was :)

Now it is March...can you believe it???!!! As I type, I am listening to the soothing sounds of the rain coming down. March is starting a new adventure of gigs, work, finalizing wedding plans, and just having fun in the good weather(hopefully). Well until next time...don't be afraid to dance in the rain!

Updates

Greeting all from the Young and the Restless...
Soooo this past month has been a whurl-wind...we have been trying to get over sickness, buy Christmas presents, celebrate Christmas and Birthdays, and New Years...but all in all it has been good :)

Christmas was awesome! Wes and I had our own Christmas and then had Christmas with both families. All of them were great and filled with love and happiness. Went to Minnesota to spend some time with the family up north. That was a lot of fun! Lots of snow to play in :) AND lots of snow toys to play with too hahaha....good times. It's always fun to go up north and be with family. Sooo then we got home and New Years Eve was right around the corner. Wes had a gig and the day seemed normal to me...but little did I know what was going to happen. He went to set up for the gig, I went to the gym and had lunch with mom....(apparently Wes had lunch with my dad too---but in secret..) So came home got cleaned up and everything and we went to dinner at this awesome pizza place. I asked if anything was the matter(cause he seemed a bit out of it to me) but he said it was just his cold acting up...so I dropped it :) Again everything was normal to me...midnight came around and we toasted and kissed like normal. And then he got down on one knee(I froze)...he asked me to marry him. I shook my head Yes, he hugged me while I was crying and freaking out hahaha, and then he looked at me and said, "You never answered my question." And I said, "Sorry...YES YES YES!!!!!!" And we are engaged!!!!! YAY!!! I love him and our life together. Lady is excited too :)
Until Next time....what is your new year resolution?

Fall and Winter :)

Hello all...Young and the Restless here. Lots of things going on. Work mostly, gigs, taking care of the house, and a little play here and there. :) Wes and I are doing great...although he has a kidney stone right now. That was not fun. Sunday we went to the ER cause he was throwing up a lot, had lower abdominal pain/back pain, and was shaking because the pain was so severe. All in all---not fun! But we had a great doctor that took care of him. So he has medicine and just taking it one day at a time. Hopefully he will pass the stone soon. He is getting anxious being in the house and I know all this pain is driving him crazy. I feel helpless because there is nothing I can do to help him. So pray for him.
Lady is loving life. She is getting so big. Now 26lbs. She loves running around, and playing with her new friends. The neighbor has a dog that she loves, and Wes' parents have a golden retriever, Summer, who Lady loves to play with. She had a great time in the leaves this fall too.Wes and I are getting ready for Christmas now. Which is exciting for me :) I love Christmas. Our house looks very festive now. We both had a great time decorating. I got us started, and then Wes helped me finish the decorating. It was a lot of fun decorating together. I am so thankful for a warm house, and nice things. I am blessed for sure.

The fire really finishes the look...don't you think?! :) Until next time...I hope you enjoy putting up your Christmas decorations...and remember the real Reason for the Season!

Happy November!

Hello all...greetings from the Young and the Restless (and Lady too)! Let's see what's been going on. Lady is feeling tons and tons better...she is now 22.5lbs. WOW I know!!! :) She is such a great companion. Here are some new photos:Other things...Wes and I went to the pumpkin patch and got some pumpkins. We carved them, and handed out candy for the little tricker treaters :) They were so cute!
Me and one of my best friends, Katie, walked for breast cancer as well. That was such an awesome experience! Both of us had never done it before...so it was super cool that we got to walk together. We walked with her YMCA group. Cool group of people. There was over 4,500 walkers there that morning...and they raised about $200,000 for research. Amazing stuff!
Well that's all for now...Young and the Restless signing off. Until next time: Go play in the pretty fall leaves...It's good for the soul.

New Member of the Family :) Lady

Greetings from the Young and the Restless :) Meet Lady....

The newest member of our little family. We will have to take a family photo one of these days for you...but until then you will just have to get by with her cute little face :) We rescued her a few weeks ago from the shelter. Her and her brothers and sisters were neglected and a little abused. I walked in and held her...and I was done. I knew she was supposed to be ours. Wes agreed...so we got her that day. I was a little hesitant to share with you all because she has been battling sickness. First her spay got infected, then she had kennel cough(or so we thought)...but it really turned out to be pneumonia. Needless to say, we there was a dark period and we were scared for her life. The vet didn't know if she would make it or not. So we prayed, grandpa anointed her head with sacred oil, we nursed her food and water, and we loved her as much as our hearts could and then some more. She is a fighter :) and the outcome is looking a lot better. She just turned 4 months today. So we are very excited that she is still with us :) We are hoping for many more posts of her to come.

Mom's 50th birthday was yesterday. That was really exciting for everyone. We had a nice quiet get together yesterday and a masquerade party today. What a fun time we all had. Music, dancing, food, cupcakes, laughter, and much more. So glad that I have a mother like I do. She is one of a kind and I love her sooo very much. Much thanks to everyone who was a part of it and who helped make the party such a success. Mom really enjoyed herself and I did too.

Update on me...working, working, working...which is a good thing. But doing all of that and cleaning, and watching after the dog...man am I tired. I called mom the other day and told her that I didn't know how she did it with two kids, taking care of the house, running errands, and trying to sleep some....she(and all the moms out there)...yall are my heroes. :) Wes is super awesome though...he takes care of Lady so well too. He is a trooper!!! We both are tired; however, we are still finding time for one another...which is awesome. Granny says that if we can pass this test of taking care of a puppy (a sick one none the less) and still live our lives...AND not get angry at each other, then we will be alright in life :) Oh my Granny...she has so much wisdom! Until next time...admire the beautiful fall trees....God sure is a master painter when it comes to the fall colors...I love it!

Where is the time going???

Hello everyone, Young and the Restless here. Where did August go in such a hurry?! It is so crazy that it is almost the middle of September. Well let's get started with the filling in process :)

August here we go...
Well I had some very successful gigs in August. Quite proud of how they turned out actually! I will put pics up soon....I have learned that musicians minds around here are VERY different than musicians minds down at school. I found myself getting severely stressed out over this entire process; however now that I know how everyone thinks around here, I have learned how to react in a less stressed out manner. :) Thank you to all the people that helped with that process. A lot of tears turned into a lot of smiles at the end. Each show had their perks. One show was especially fun because my BFF Audrey came and surprised me...so therefore she sang with me at the show that night :) It was a really great day/gig.

Work is going extremely well! Which I am super excited about. I can't believe that I am a true grown up now. I mean I was sort of a grown up before....but now it just feels legit. Teaching music at these studios is even more wonderful than I ever imagined. I am really getting through to these kids/adults. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I could do this...and here I am reaching my full potential. It's a very exciting time in my life :)

Wes and I are amazing. I couldn't ask for someone better to support me in all the things that I am trying to accomplish. He is there for me every step of the way. This might sound a little silly....but I'm so glad he is around in my life. It's nice to have that feeling about the one you love. We are a good pair. We understand each other. And we work well as a team. I'm excited for what the future holds.

September:
The family is great! Got a chance to hang out with them for Labor Day. It was nice to see everyone and catch up. It was also nice to sit and have a convo with Andrew about med school. I'm very excited for him and all his adventures that are coming his way. I know he's going to do great. Shawna seems to be doing great too. It was nice to see mom and dad just being excited for the whole family to come around. Got to play a little back and forth volleyball action with my cousin(which was nice--even though I suck at volleyball---sorry mom and dad I was never a volleyball champ like you guys were--hahah). Got to meet and chat up my cousins boyfriend--which was pretty fun. Ask him all these questions....hahaha. And it was nice to hang out with her too :) Nice to hang with my aunt and uncle too(Uncle Joel played volleyball with Lauren and I) the grandparents, my great uncle, and a really close friend of the family(which she is like another grandma). I think that was everyone.

Got to go to Santi-cali-gon days with my love...which that was exciting. Just got to walk around holding hands and being love struck :) Which that was so nice!

My good friend Terra is having a baby...so a bunch of my friends are throwing her a baby shower....can't wait to meet my little "niece" at some point--she's gonna be the cutest thing I just know it :)

Well I think that is all for August and part of September....And I'll post pics soon. But until next time, "There's no half-singing in the shower, you're either a rock star or an opera diva." haha thanks Josh Groban.

pics from fishing

We had sooo much fun :) Check out www.charteredwaters.com and look on the fishing report and just all of the website really :) Brett is a great teacher and super nice too. If you ever need a guide/teacher you should check down there and get Brett to teach you how to fly fish. Thanks Brett.

SOoooooo...It's HOT!

Hey peeps....Young and the Restless here hahaha :) Soooo let's just get this out of the way now...it's soooooo HOT outside. I'm soooo ready for fall/winter. Light jackets, cute hats, a light scarf...ahhhhhh :) So I went fishing with my dad the other day, super fun! It was fly fishing...my first time going. Loved every minute of it. Super fun! If you would like to see my big catch go to http://www.charteredwaters.com/ and look under the "fishing report". You will see me under the July 15th post. Brett is super awesome! He was our guide. He took us out on the boat and he is the best teacher ever. If you ever want to go fly fishing go on down to see him, he will hook you UP! :) He was very patient with me and I didn't tangle a line or break a line the whole time I was there....which is apparently really good for a first timer. Dad and I even caught a few fish together....saying "This double catch is brought to you by "Chartered Waters Boys"!"....it was fun. So needless to say it was fun...and if you ever want to go fly fishing go down and support Brett and the Chartered Waters crew. He's great. Shout out to Brett....Thanks for making my first fly fishing experience a great one!

Other than that fun-ness....just been working and playing music. Which has been really good. Loving this place and it has just been a great experience for me. All my students are doing really well. It's been fun to see their growth throughout these few months. I like being a teaching mentor.
We were trying to take a pic of us and the lights up above us one night and it didn't turn out to well; however, we had a blast trying to get the lights in the background of our photos....we were just cracking up the whole time. We had fun just being silly with each other and laughing a lot.
Us loving our time...
Us being us...silly :)

Wes and I are going strong. We have really just been loving life and hanging with each other. Learning something good and new everyday. I love him. good times!!!
Alrighty folks enough of my blabber....until next time laugh like you've never laughed before.

Chillin :)

Today on the Young and the Restless we witnessed Hana in a whirlwind weekend, Wes and Hana are having a blast as usual, and Hana getting prepared for a fishing trip with dad. hahahahha. Hey everyone how r u? Well it has been a relaxing sunday. It's raining here so it feels a little like home sweet Nashville. Had a great time hanging with old friends today. Thanks to them for being cool. Got to see an old friend, Danny, who is on leave for a few from the Marines. He is awesome...and I thank him and the others in the armed forces for protecting our country. :) It is so crazy...I have never seen anyones neck look that huge...hahahaha except that one time that Andrew was in football and his neck got extremely huge too. It was really funny....Anthony and I were cracking up about it. :) Need less to say, he has been working out really hard and you can see the results from his labor. :) So 4th of July was great. Got to spend some time with Wes' family. It was a lot of fun. Hung out by the pool for a bit, had a BBQ, and watched fireworks from their balcony. It's really neat cause from their balcony you could see all the big displays. Cool night. The next day, we went to Uncle Joels house to have some relaxing, family time with my family there. It was really nice to be with everyone.

My weekend was great. Got to play music--AND get paid to do it. Lovin' this city. :) Friday night played for a church function. All the proceeds went to making a shelter house for homeless women. Great cause. It was nice to be a part of that fundraiser because I feel like it is closer to my heart than ever. Doing project homeless, going to the rescue mission with soul choir, and doing other events for the homeless has really become something close to my heart. I think that it is wonderful that us as human beings are reaching down a little deeper in our hearts and trying to help out our fellow man kind. I don't know about you...but when I think about being the hands and feet of God, this is one of the things that I think about. This shelter is going to give homeless women a chance to get off the streets for a couple months and find the help that they need. Sometimes all people need is a little time and some help to become what they were destined to be. Anyways...great fundraiser and I hope that they get all that they need. Saturday I played at the Canoe Club. Great place to play. Real low key and just fun. It was the dinner crowd. So we were background music. Wonderful :) It was so nice to play. I had a blast.
And today got to hang out with some old friends which was nice.

Wes and I are doing great. Everything about us living together has been wonderful. We are loving life and loving being together all the time. It's just the coolest thing ever! :)

Get to go fishing with dad...which I'm super pumped about. We went shopping the other day to get ready for it. I'm excited to learn how to fly fish. It's gonna be fun. I will post pics of it later.

Well I think that is all from us here at the Young and the Restless...until next time..."Glue...very powerful stuff." :) thank you Blues Brothers.....hahaha

OH HEY!

So I'm sitting in a coffee house...just chillin. I know shocking---I'm in a coffee house. I don't even drink coffee; however, they have excellent smoothies. Love the smoothies. :) So the last time i checked in you saw pics of CMA fest. Again let me say how AMAZING that was. I had a blast. So what's been happening in the life of the Young and the Restless since then you may ask...well work mostly. I have been working summer school here...in the clinic. Super cute kids--and they are even cuter when they come in and need a band-aid. They are so sad yet happy that someone is going to help them out. It's cute. I've gotten to know a few of them cause they are ALWAYS in my clinic. Sometimes I'm like, "Ok, I know that you like being out of class...but seriously I don't want to see you in here for like a day or two. Stay away." hahahahaha....Umm let's see what else...oh yeah...Music Teaching! HOLLA! I am so blessed let me tell ya...I have two teaching jobs at two amazing studios. I have been fortunate to get these jobs. I am finally getting paid to do what I like to do. FINALLY! And I am super excited :)

Let's see what else....
Wes and I have been having a blast together. He truly is my best friend :) I have been loving being with him everyday. Which is a good thing don't ya think?!!!! ;) hahahaha... We have been living through with everyday life things, special occasions, dates, and everything in between. It has been perfect :) Oh and when I got home from work the other day...he was standing in the doorway with flowers...just because :) It was super cute! And the flowers are beautiful. I love him! That was so wonderful :)

Ummm...been booking shows too....which is exciting! Again have CD's for sale. Let me know if you want one.

I think that is all for right now....just thought that I would check in and be a little better with this blog thing :) Until next time... Go on vacation and love your life. I'm loving mine :)

CMA fest!

Welcome back to the Young and the Restless,

This time we see Hana in Nashville performing at CMA fest. She opened for a local artist Garrett Steele. Okay enough of the 3rd person stuff. hahahahaha.... I had an absolute blast playing last weekend. It was so much fun :) And I had the best trio to back me up too. Justin, Brandon, and Audrey were amazing! Here are a couple of photo's. Most of my friends were there, and it was so great to be supported by all of them :) YAY for friends :) Until next time...I'm on iTunes and CDBaby!!! YAY! Look me up :)

settling in...

Hey all...greetings from the sun :) It is officially warm and very humid here...don't get me wrong--I love the sun and I love all the things that come along with summer(i.e. bbq, pool parties, boats, lazy rivers, watermelon, cute shorts, not to much responsibility ;)...etc)...but I don't know if I'm ready to sweat a lot alllll the time....hahaha.

Well the EP is finally done and in my hands!!! YAY! I am SOOOO excited about this. Getting ready to sell it...and it's about to be on iTunes(which I'm super pumped about)! Everything is coming together with this finally and that makes me very happy :) Trying to get this CD release party/gig thing happening too. Just trying to figure out the best venue for the show--and who I want to play with me. Tricky hahahaha. Been writing a lot lately too which has been extremely fun. I'm hoping for all good things in that department.

I'm getting to spend a lot more time with Wes here lately. This makes me very very very happy!!!! I'm excited that we are getting the chance to be with one another and see how each other roll hahahahahaha :)

Anyhooziers....I thought that I would write and tell you about some of this stuff. Until next time..."For sale: Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain."

Sorry I pushed the wrong button....so continue...hahahaha....
Work has been going great...music is going great. Wrote some amazing songs with some people...trying to get them recorded and who knows maybe someday even sold ;) That would be the bomb! hahah :) Got a lot of exciting things coming up...weddings to play for, graduations to attend, less than 30days I will no longer be in a long distance relationship anymore!! YAY! I could shout that one from the rooftops--HOLLA! :) I'm so ready to be in the same area as my honey.

Other things....trying to plan a CD release party sometime/somewhere....so hopefully that will all work itself out. Ummmmm....I think that is it for now...Until next time, "Don't sit on a cactus!" :)
