Welcoming in 2012

Hello all,
Y&R here.  Welcome to 2012....well at least for all of us here on this blog. :)  Trying to keep up with this busy life and this blog can be challenging at times.  But here is Hana with the updates :)
Hey y'all, Hana here.  What a busy last few months.  Life has taken a whirlwind since Jan. 1st of 2012.  Lots of students to teach, which I feel very blessed about.  A husband to look after, since we all know he needs a little help j/k ;), and an ornery dog to put back in her place.  I have had the opportunity to play gigs at a couple different places already this year, which has been great.  One place is already begging us to pick dates for April, May, and even June.  That is so exciting!  February came in a rush, and it was already time for my bestie Audrey to come into town, Valentine's day, and a big reflective period on my behalf.

So first off, I got a little bit of home Nashville in my life a couple weekends ago.  Audrey came to town!!!  This is the first time she has been here since July.  Crazy I KNOW!  We had a lot of good times, had lots of great talks, and mostly enjoyed doing things together.  It's hard to leave your friends behind....especially now that we all have our own lives.  I miss all you guys, Audrey, Terra, Megan, Nicki, Lauren, Lindsey, Jessie, Jess, Jeff,  Justin, Amy, and so many many more.

Valentine's Day, was great!  For Wes, I made him a scavenger hunt of some of his favorite things.  And when I got home from work waiting for me were beautiful roses, a card, and inside the card was a certificate for a couple's massage. :)  Super exciting!  And since I had to work on Valentine's Day, we went and had a nice dinner at Bass Pro....I LOVE the aquarium in the restaurant...so we got to sit next to it and look at the fishes. :)  We also walked around and saw the ducks too!!!  Sounds a little cheesy; however, it was perfect to me :)

So big reflective period, all about figuring out what God's plan is for my life.  At church on Sunday, the lady speaking had a lot of great things to say.  The big message was "Listen".  Which she said was very hard for her to do.  The lady, being a micro-biologist, is more of a visual learner.  More so than anything she has formulas to solve her problems.  Well in the great scheme of God's plan....he wants us to "Listen" to that still, small voice, and most of the time there is no "Formula" to follow to get to the solution.  I am also a visual learner.  It's hard for me to understand "Listen" if I can't see what I am listening to.  I am a great listener for friends, or family; however, I can see them when they are talking to me.  So here I am, praying that I will understand where God's plan is taking me, and Granny reads me this article about "Un-answered Prayers".  And in the article the woman was plainly saying that sometimes God's answer to your prayer is IN the un-answered part of life.  She said that there has been so many times where she has prayed for some sort of answer and never received one, and she looks back now and realized that if she would have gotten the answer to her prayer, she might have been put in harms way, or she wouldn't have gone as far with the "quick" answer.  So with a lot of praying and learning, I am just taking life one day at a time, because that is all I need.  God will provide and take care of me.  And I know now, that my "Listening" might not always have answers, sometimes the answer is in the Silence.
So until next time, Silence is not a scary thing, embrace it; however, if you don't like it...you can always turn the radio on :)
